Life Lately: Autumn 2025

What's been going down...

Growing art scene

I absolutely adore collaboration. I get very excited when artists work together because we each bring something unique and learn (hopefully) something new that we wouldn't have otherwise. Recently I was discouraged because, despite my best efforts, I was seeing complacency instead of creativity. However, I didn't know that a friend and fellow musician was hard at work organizing artists in the city into a movement. We already had two meetings: one to brainstorm ways to minister to our neighbors, and a second to take steps at making those suggestions more concrete. What encouraged me was the sense of dedication to see these plans through with practical, actionable steps, including outreach to the elderly, refugees, and prisoners. Currently a group of us are preparing for a Christmas concert in a refugee center, another group for outreach at the Christmas markets, and a third singing carols in homes for the elderly.

In the church, we have also seen growth as three new members joined our worship band. Once again, we joined our partner church in leading a massive worship night with multiple bands from different churches in our part of the city. I especially enjoyed playing bass guitar in our larger than usual band. The greater variety of instruments creates a fuller, more beautiful sound. It's always a blast to "rock out for Jesus," as one participant said.

A huge request

I am once again entering into a season of support raising. The unfortunate reality is that most missionaries see their overall financial support slowly decline over their careers, and I am not immune to this trend. The dollar doesn't go as far as it did last year and with added costs of inflation, my budget has become very tight. The reassuring news is that my God owns every cent on the planet and has promised to care for my physical needs, if only I trust him. To be fully funded, I am in need of $800 more in monthly support.

Over the years, I have been amazed at how God has kept good on that promise; impressed by the generosity and faithfulness of my partners, who have joined me in expanding God's kingdom in Europe. Together we have touched hundreds of hearts with the gospel of Christ and trained countless disciples making an impact for eternity. What a shame it would be if something as trivial as money brought it to a halt.

To aid in achieving this goal, I will be visiting San Diego next April to share about what God is doing and how to be a part of it. More details will follow in early 2026. I believe that God will continue to provide through you, my ministry partners, and for that I am forever grateful. Please prayerfully consider supporting the mission by giving. Also, please share the above video and the link below so more partners join.
