What's been going down...

So much travel

This summer I visited several new cities and villages across Germany and three new countries. Most of it was work-related, but I did enjoy a week away on vacation. Suffice to say it was a great season for connecting, but I am glad to be back home in Frankfurt.

Mosaik Nord

We were recently approached by another church in our neighborhood offering to share their space with us. After some preliminary meetings, we recognized that we complement one another in multiple ways, and decided to move forward with the plan to move in probationally. We are in a “get-to-know-each-other” phase right now. One of our elders compared it to animals sniffing one another when they first meet. The plan is to officially move in later this year.

English Camp

After such a great experience last year, I was ecstatic to return to Wölmersen for English Camp with Neues Leben. We welcomed 160 campers, a new record and double the number from the previous year. This time I took on more responsibilities and was happy to see both familiar and new faces amongst campers and staff. The Spirit was surely active that week drawing everyone closer to Himself. I enjoyed leading morning worship for the camp and had the privilege of teaching one of the intermediate classes. A highlight for me was all the one-on-one conversations with my students. They have truly God-sized dreams and I am eager to see God work in their lives to fulfill them.

Storytelling and Annual Conference

After so much storytelling during the spring, summer’s pace was refreshingly slower. I didn’t finish any new stories, but I did assist some colleagues with projects and have started some new ones. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many people (old friends and new friends as it were) at GEM’s Annual Conference. I was honored to see one of my video stories presented during a main session and received very encouraging feedback on it. I and another storyteller were even recruited at the conference to cover a major event later this year. I love seeing God at work like this!
